Something Special

Looking for something a little bit different for your wedding or company event? In 2015 I enjoyed developing and performing a couple of different interactive audio-visual shows which were first presented at the Body and Soul and Electric Picnic festivals. These 90 minute shows are now available for bookings for weddings, corporate events and Christmas parties etc. In conjunction with d808 Media Production I can also provide an audio-visual show tailored to your specifications. Get in touch and we can have a chat about developing a show that reflects your personal tastes or company/brand requirements.

Kids in America

The drama of coming of age has never been so well documented as it was in 1980s America. Taking inspiration from movies like Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and St. Elmo’s Fire this show brings you back to the 80s to re-live the angst, the joy and the legwarmers! DJ Aidan Kavanagh and d808 Media Production present a heavily accessorised, big-haired, interactive visual extravanganza, sound-tracked by the tunes the ‘brat-pack’ fell in and out of love to. The show includes 80s-themed competitions such as fastest completion of Rubik’s cube and the Pat Benetar dance-alike contest.

Kids in America was the main event in the ‘Body Holidays’ area at Body and Soul 2015 and as you can see from the video above it went down a storm. The Pat Benetar dance-alike contest was a very close call indeed, sadly no-one managed to complete more than one side of a Rubik’s cube!

Bollywood Bliss

Prepare to be transported to the exotic East via the bhangra beats of Bollywood musicals. DJ Aidan Kavanagh and friends present a musical feast which takes in classic tunes from the ‘golden age’ of Bollywood through to the present day. Irresistibly danceable and upbeat this is the ultimate feel-good show. A perfect start to the evening’s entertainment at a wedding and would bring fun and glamour to any corporate event. Audience participation is facilitated through group Garba/Dandiya dance and Bollywood dancing competitions.

I really enjoyed performing the Bollywood show on the Salty Dog stage at EP 2015 – the show went down really well and there was some pretty stiff competition for the coveted ‘Most Enthusiastic Bollywood Dancer’ trophy.
